The City of Rock Hill Christmas parade is one of the few lighted nighttime parades within the state. The parade will once again feature both homemade and commercial floats, local high school bands mascots, walking units and of course Santa Claus, passing through the streets of Old Town during the ChristmasVille Festival. While the ChristmasVille Festival is excited to celebrate the Rock Hill Christmas Parade with our community, this event is not hosted by ChristmasVille. Santa’s ChristmasVille Cup: Sled Races

Get ready for an exhilarating holiday spectacle at Santa’s Christmasville Cup! Main Street will transform into a racing wonderland as Old Town businesses race their creatively designed sleighs down Main Street. But before the excitement begins, join us at The Mercantile to admire the dazzling sleighs on display and cast your vote for the crowd's favorite sled, with the help of the Grinch himself. As the races commence, prepare for heart-pounding action as businesses go head-to-head in a thrilling sled showdown until a champion emerges. The victorious team will claim the prestigious Christmasville Cup, earning the title of Inaugural Cup Champions. Plus, the recipient of the Grinch's Choice award will be honored with a trophy as well. Don't miss out on this holiday spectacle—it's sure to be an unforgettable experience for everyone! Preschool Day

Join us for Preschool Day as we revel in the joy of ChristmasVille with the infectious laughter of little ones on Main Street! Children can delight in a whimsical array of festive activities, including snow shoveling and playtime in Grant the Gnome’s Playland, along with crafting cards for local heroes. Children can spread Christmas cheer far and wide by exploring ten locations around Main Street. While there won't be time for one-on-one chats with Santa, there will be three special Sing-Alongs of Christmas cheer with Santa and Friends at the Fountain Park Stage. Fountain Park Stage Sing-Along: 8:30 am 10:30 am 12:30 pm Don't forget to bring a bag and Sharpie for your group's items and perhaps a sheet or blanket for lawn seating during the sing-along. Pre-registration is required for this free event, ensuring a magical day for all. Prepare for a delightful day filled with story time, Christmas tree crafting, visits to the Comporium Museum, snowman bowling, and much more as we celebrate the holiday season. Registration is open. Old Town comes alive with half a million twinkling lights during the month of December through the beautifully lit trees that line Main Street and Fountain Park, as well as along the trim of historic buildings, and down the numerous walkways that leave you feeling all warm and fuzzy inside. Grab a camera and your family or friends to explore the magic and wonder this ChristmasVille, and even into the new year! Walkways include: Cotton Alley adjacent to 121 E. Vernon Grant 3D Santa Windows

By now, you’ve likely seen multiple illustrations of distinctly styled Santas and various gnomes throughout ChristmasVille’s website, as well as throughout Old Town if you’ve already begun exploring. These whimsical creations are the work of Rock Hill’s adopted son and famed illustrator, Vernon Grant, most widely known for his three fun-loving gnomes used to market Kellogg’s Rice Krispies®. Vernon’s work encompasses much more than Snap ®, Crackle ®, and Pop® through his abundant illustrations for nationally known magazines and advertising campaigns. Vernon Grant’s artwork can be seen displayed on street poles and in art galleries within Old Town during the entire month of December. There’s even a larger-than-life mural inspired by his iconic images, as well as multiple 3D museum-quality models in storefront windows along Main Street! In 2016, ChristmasVille organizers established a tradition of re-imagining Vernon Grant People’s Choice Santa images by commissioning life-size 3D creations.
